Very nice hotel, I booked through booking.com and when I saw the reviews on google I was terrified but luckily I was pleasantly surprised and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was big, clean and well equipped. We were offered early check-in (we arrived 4 hours earlier) at no extra charge. Maybe the bathroom is small but sufficient for a short stay.
Stayed for a week at Joivy Haymarket and loved my experience! Mind you, it is an old building that has seen better days! It’s old but very clean and saw how hard the staff worked around the clock everyday to prepare the rooms! The location was wonderful as you are a 10 min walk to the City Center. If you want a posh experience, I would not recommend this place but it was perfect for sleeping and being comfortable between sight seeings!
1 min walking to Haymarket station, tram and bus stops that connect to both airport and city center. The room itself is relatively tiny, especially the bathroom but overall tidy and clean, room ceiling is very high too.
I had a very pleasant stay at JOIVY Haymarket from the 4th to 7th, staying in the Family Room with four people. Overall, it was a positive experience. The accommodation offers a welcoming common area which was a great bonus, especially with the free coffee machine. I was particularly pleased to find that the bathroom in our room was newly renovated, which completely addressed any concerns raised in past reviews. We had a great time and would certainly recommend it!
The place was cozy, and felt like home literally. Room had a great aesthetic feel. Dim lights, elegant. But! Th bathroom was a total waste. Like it’s hard to even stand inside. Such a bathroom with a deluxe room doesn’t makes sense.

After reading some of the unfavorable reviews, I truly can’t understand what people were expecting. I only wish I could have stayed longer with my family, if not for work commitments. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for many reasons—its charm, cleanliness, and the overall welcoming atmosphere. Decent hotel in a great location, just across the road from Haymarket station. I had no problems with room cleanliness, as other reviewers have noted. The bathroom was quite small, but the main room was spacious. There is even a communal lounge and kitchen area for guests to use. Although I had no issues with the automated check-in process, I can see it could be a hassle for those who do have problems, due to the lack of in-person staff. No technology is 100% effective.
